3 Google Tools Every Web Developer Should Use

Google, the search giant always encourages developers to create high-quality websites. And they have a list of tools for web developers too. All of these Google tools helps in SEO, performance of the website, UX. Even though there are more than 10 free tools offered by Google for websites, we are only listing 3 tools here. Because these tools are necessary for any type of websites.

1. Google Analytics

My most favorite tool. I have used it for every website that I have built. Google Analytics is a free tool that gives different information like traffic to your website with a detailed graph that shows how many people are visiting your site, from which country, device, browser, source, users flow and even tell you the gender and age of visitors. What you need is to register your site in Google Analytics, they will provide you a code. Put that in your website (every page). For WordPress sites, there are some plugins that will show the report in your WordPress admin dashboard.

2. Google PageSpeed Insights

I use this tool every time after uploading a site to the server. Google’s Page Speed Insights is used to get a report on the performance of the site. It shows various information like whether our site is responsive or not, are the images optimized to decrease loading time, browser caching, minifying and optimizing CSS and JS files and much more.

3. Google Search Console (Webmaster Tools)

This tool was named as Webmaster Tools, later changed to Google Search Console. I think the new one is perfect because as the name says it’s something for SEO (Search Engine Optimization). You can submit your website’s sitemap, robots.txt file and much more. Google Search Console can be also used for security issues.
